DIDACTIC TRAINING
Training in Clinical Research (TICR)
The TICR program offers a broad array of educational opportunities for junior faculty, fellows, and advanced predoctoral students at UCSF.
Summer Clinical Research Workshop. The 8-week Summer Clinical Research Workshop consists of three courses that address research design, career development and ethics. This is the starting point for all clinical research training at UCSF.
Advanced Training in Clinical Research (ATCR). ATCR is a year-long program for health scientists who desire rigorous training in the methods and conduct of clinical research.
Master's Degree in Clinical Research. The Master's Degree in Clinical Research is a two-year course of study that includes ATCR, some additional courses, and mentored supervision of a clinical research thesis.
Individual Courses. UCSF faculty, fellows, students may take most TICR courses on an individual basis.
Pathways to Careers in Clinical & Translational Research (PACCTR)
The PACCTR program is designed to train predoctoral students from all four UCSF schools with the aim of launching students toward careers as independent researchers.
Oral & Craniofacial Sciences Clinical & Translational Sciences Track
The OCS-CTST is a 4-year PhD training program in clinical and translational research for DDS/PhD students, or post-DDS or post-MD clinicians including those in residency programs.
